Anything for nothing !!!!

Where m
could be anything , Trust me anything  !!
It never mattered what you want , how you want it or how much you want it !!!
So in the quest of filling with anything we end up becoming nothing...
we just follow the thread it has been in past the thread which itself is now weaken and the track which lead us where we are not supposed to be.
I am definitely talking about our education system which I prefer calling it Education game !!
Where we play to win or loose where we cheer for winning(with who's winning attitude) without thinking of how many people have lost their spirit which may not be mend for this game. I am very much pessimist in this matter I know and I accept it. Because I see the hard-work of thousands of people too behind the winners portrait.Just as the people who dance in sync behind the hero or heroin in our Bollywood songs which give the beauty on screen as well in some way which we never feel ..
We are in a race , race with time,  race with society....where we forget to breathe the way we breathe naturally, breathe the beauty in our way ... where we forget to breathe beauty in us. Give a pause and let people rush by your side and savor the beauty in you around you.

I see pain in those school kid carrying bag heavier than their might.......... Of course there isn't a hardcore alternative to it but just the awareness of it is I think sort of alternative at present.

4get it perhaps some doodle in my head :)

Does it still smells like a teen spirit ???

P.S(5-jan-2012) : R.K.Narayan ...
"His heart bled whenever he saw young boys and girls going to school laden with books which they could hardly carry. This burden did not improve their minds; it only made them hunchbacks.”  excerpts from an article The Hindu ' Is it school or Jail '

P.S(11-feb-2011) :

Again an excerpt from an article " What you lose when you buy an education"http://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-opinion/article2881209.ece

The cultural critic Neil Postman writes, “There is no question that listlessness, ennui, and even violence in school are related to the fact that students have no useful role to play in society.”
We need to reinvigorate our curricula so that students see meaning and purpose beyond fulfilling parental ambition in schooling. Is the goal of education simply to balance chemical equations and factor polynomials? In addition to learning literature, mathematics and science, children have to feel empowered and not enervated by going to school.

Life is Beautiful –1

Life is Beautiful –1
IT’S AN EXCITING TIME TO LIVE!!!

Best time to be born in India--K V Kamath (Our new Chairman of Infosys) ….is what he said recently. While reading what he said and his perspective of current time which he feels is not a doom but a great boon to live, Well his was related to market, business world and opportunities ahead in it but he stirs the same in my mind to see it with my own perspective(Best time to be born in this era).

The beauty and the Nothingisimpossible  era we are lucky to be born in with.

Sometimes I wonder how could I feel blue in this rainbowful of world, how could I miss this beauty that surrounds us I guess to let you feel this beauty exists which we sometimes or many a times miss in our mundane life, to let you feel its preciousness.

It’s an exciting time to sing your own song of life no matter how bad your voice is no matter what lyrics in it coz imagine if the song '' I take u to the candy shop I let you lick the lollipop'' by 50 Cent can top the chart and make him a millionaire, if ‘‘someone (Walt Disney) can create stupid and cute mouse calling it Mickey mouse and that led him to create Disney land park and if some can create face-book from face-mash. Then I certainly feel your/our lyrics of life also have something to express.

Because it’s not the lyrics it’s not the music it’s not the voice it’s not how you look matters (nothing is absolute in this world but relative) but the believe you have in it as a whole, the love with you are doing it coz at the end it all boils down to one thing how you lived your life ??
Nagging... what you have to do (which even a dog do every day to get course of meal) or loving what you love to do.
It’s really an exciting time to breathe the life you want it to breathe it’s really an exciting time to dispel the shackles of word impossible from our life, it’s an exciting time to sing the song of your life , it’s an exciting time to at-least witness the impossible happening with our own naked eyes !!!!
Give your life the most. Give what it love no matter how askew it is as Einstein said '' If at first idea doesn’t sound absurd then there's no hope in it '' .Surround your life with what you love and when you reach there you'll feel the Space , the physical as well as the space of time there you will not bother about the time thinking are you using it or wasting it because you are living to live the life in it because you are living to express the music you have in it. Not necessarily a tune or a rhythm!!
Look around and look for the people who are doing with the love of doing it not necessarily the giants (Successful) but even those who are yet to bloom. Because I feel it’s here we lack the insight of looking at the real essence of life everybody love to see the beauty of flower but few see the beauty of blooming in real !! It’s an art it’s a music of harmony of flower with the nature which give the cells(pigments) of beauty in flower how could one miss it how could !!!!!
Because if you look for giants you may get discouraged scaling yourself with their life and there we miss the picture of blooming we miss what gives life in them.
Which is thousands fold more important than looking at the tip of ice berg, which will tell you how to mold your life with time and situation.

After watching Avatar for the first time I was dumbfounded, awestruck with the wild imagination of James. He made me wonder how wild one can think how far one can stretched his/her mind which is much more precious than any knowledge we acquire by reading any book which is new and fresh in this human kind. After watching it I realized the magnitude of James mind which is as big as the tree Na'vi(Tree of souls) he imagined in Pandora. Avatar for me is a recent sign of someone breathing for the love of breathe.
It’s really is an exciting time to breathe the life in our own way.
BREATHE IT!!!!

I guess it’s enough for the time being ….Hollow words from shallow me!!
Because I have achieved nothing solid yet to help myself scale with current parameters of success and failure in our time because I am not sure how much I worth myself to imply my words on anyone ….
But who cares I will flow and flow knowing the hurdles and curves ahead in my life which in-fact tests the man in you which in-fact help you find who really you are!!

As Steve Jobs said “Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”

Burning of copies of bill "contempt of parliament" Are you kidding !!!!!

To
The Editor
The Hindu
Sub: Does it matter anyway ...

Sir,
This refers to few of letters in your letters to editor section where I found one of the most cruel joke on civil society members(in a way to the whole nation ) calling burning of Jokepal was a national loss and referring to their protest as non-violent and crass behavior. First of all I can't still able to comprehend how on earth you can publish such a pessimistic and petty issue by group of few people.
When entire nation is giving their hands for this cause you portray the pessimistic notion of whole issue. I understand that being a prominent newspaper of our nation you should show both the aspects but if majority is supporting this cause and the cause itself is worth it than I see no point in publishing the hopeless call.
While reading those few letters I was wondering what probably are they doing in their cocoon for this nationwide movement against this serious disease of corruption. It was much like commenting on a cricket match when you hardly know how to hold a bat!!
These people who are fighting against corruption are on the field and those people who are trying to be a more radical  and logical don't have any idea how hard it is to fight for such a cause leaving everything behind them, their family their job everything!!! And at the end if you publish such a pessimistic letter thinking they have some serious point to make then I doubt you alignment towards govt. Jokepal bill, I doubt your media ethics I am sorry but it’s what I feel. They compare Anna Hazare's movement with Gandhi's movement and look for a flaw in it. And when someone send a letter to your newspaper saying what Gandhi did and what Anna should you publish the other day itself.(To them I have one more good news Gandhi was wearing dhoti and sandals while his struggle and Anna is not , don’t forget to mention it in next letter to your editor)
Let me tell you what you publish each day has a huge impact on the whole nation and I feel you should consider consciously before publishing it. I really feel sorry for this country having such people who just do nothing but talk.
While they are yelling loudly about the corruption in India every single day when you wake up from your soothing bed but you see nothing but burning  paper and their flaw.
While they are talking about loss of HUGE!! National income (2G, KG scam etc where we can't even pronounce the figure of money in it) you see loss of burning few paper how pessimistic one could be.

Some even say Anna derailed from Gandhi's ideology (That was 1947 and it’s 2011!!) well to them I say to hell with any ideology when if we could be a country free of corruption Even to this point!! Some pseudo intellectuals said "Rome is not built in a day" well to them I say neither by just commenting on Hindu with some impeccable constitutional word of which a lay man hard to comprehend.

And to the people all over nation please!!!! Just before commenting look what you are doing to fight against this serious disease CORRUPTION and if you are not then at least refrain from commenting nonsense!!

Atlast my only request to "The Hindu" the most transparent print media in our country i feel, to please give a conscious thought while publishing any personal letter.

Thank you
And sorry for being outraged !!

The whole nation is on fire and you are talking about burning few pages of Govt.Jokepal bill !!!!
Good joke !!

Reservation with an unreserved aspect of it ..............

Reservation (Aarakshan) so how do we look at it in our mundane life of-course being one of beneficiary of this term I must look at it with great sense of validity contrary to many people outside there .Some even believe it’s not the corruption that should be rooted out of our country but it’s the reservation first I understand there angst. After giving all your life in studying all those books from primary to Ph.d. thinking mighty education will give us a happy and contended life but instead if you end up struggling for a job and to make up for living , then you might curse on something and perhaps the reservation because you think based on the parameters set by our country for getting a job you are more eligible than those who are getting job with the help of reservation. So what are these parameters the way I see it , these are nothing but a mechanism by which we measure the pseudo-intelligence of a human .But does this really measures it holistically I mean is it an only and eternal way. Ok you are good in exams you are taught to be so ever since you were born but what about those people who are born in far remote places who are yet to get accustom with these parameters which we believe is the ultimate scale of measuring human intelligence for a particular job. I have seen many people in this world who are great professionals without having some sort of degree (proof) in their respective field. I have seen many great painter without having any degree of fine arts  from some school ,based on the criteria for getting admission he/she might not be eligible for becoming a professional painter but he is a great painter and  in-fact much better than those who have some sort of  degree(proof) in fine arts because there you explore your own standards there you explore who really you are because you are not  painting with the fear to get pass and get a degree and there your wings are not chained with the of boundaries of standards and dimension.
So what is my point , my point is all the things we have studied are much helpful for understanding the world but I don’t think what we have studied should be a sole parameter for measuring how eligible you are for some job and how much the people who are having benefits of reservation are not.
Think of it this way first why are we so obsessed with saving tiger and polar bear WHY? Recently there were lots of campaign for saving tiger, many celebrities including Amitabh bachhan were giving hands to support this cause...because tiger is an endangered species, and rate of decline of tiger is high and the mere sign of tigerness or the wilderness may get lost in future. We are living in a world full of diversity and we want to balance it because we just can’t imagine a world with only people around and nothing else not even trees.
So scaling down from world to India and before saving tiger and polar bear think of the people living in far remote places of India, forget education where roads are yet to get connected with rest of world where they hardly care about education because they are not aware of the standards that we have set outside their world. We talk about saving tiger coz it’s a sign of wilderness and uniqueness of this planet but what about the wilderness of human and there equality. If education was a real boon for this world then why is there so much loopholes in it, why an IAS who is eligible from every aspect of our standards and parameters still filled with corrupted mindset. An IAS whose sole purpose of working is serving the country is found looting the recourses of our country. Perhaps…Perhaps!! For governing the country with the pseudo-intelligence you might need a good heart as well and perhaps serving the country and people is not a matter of power but matter of humility. As I see it if you give an opportunity to one of these people from remote places with the help of reservation you are really opening a door for their understanding to the outside world and saving a human before a tiger and respecting their existence.
With the changing time there's huge increase in influx of domestic tourist in Ladakh and people are loving it because it was unexplored and is unique in many ways including the people (As many tourist themselves claimed), there were many instances with the Indian tourist this summer telling their unique experience with the people of Ladakh(one said hell of diff with Egyptian people). You go and you'll feel it trust me. And with that same feeling think of excluding the people of Ladakh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Himachal… and many tribal areas from getting any job at central level, think of working with the people of your own state and community and compare it working with the people from all over our country. I am sure there will be a difference of experience in two cases some may say we like working in same community but there is a huge difference of taste working in both the environment. I want this unity in diversity I want this wilderness and exotica and for that we need to give equal opportunity to every human in this country. Let them grow n someday they will sure let the country grow not only monetarily but humanly as well.
Reservation is for right to equality
Reservation is for a sign of still existence of humanity (For if you think it should exist)

And for the parameters on which we scale the human intelligence I feel is nothing but a program which we have mugged up so thoroughly that we are mistakenly thinking of it as a real source of intelligence but for the code we can rewrite in many different ways and the real essence of intelligence is in it. Not the already programmed code but just a blank C window where we can write any code of life.
Hope I conveyed my message !!!

 Must watch !!!
Learned the essence of Wilderness........

P.S:
Small Analogy
Imagine all of sudden the parameters (likes of entrance exams) on basis of which we now give job/admission to a particular person changes and we start giving job on basis of physical strength. Now everybody is working hard to get strength some even going to Pro-Gym class instead of coaching institutes ... But can everyone achieve physical body likes of Arnold.. No matter how long you stretch it there'll be difference of physical strength depending upon the persons capability , heredity and hundreds of other biological factors ... but can we now ignore the weak ones ... Can we imagine a sense of equality in it (The very factor which differentiates the human from animal) I guess not ....

Think over it ....................................

Getting inspired :( The oxygens !! :)

Excerpt from the transcript of commencement Speech at Stanford given by Steve Jobs ::::

"Stay hungry, stay foolish."

Thank you. I'm honored to be with you today for your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. Truth be told, I never graduated from college and this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation.

From first story (About connecting the dots) ---You can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something--your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever--because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart, even when it leads you off the well-worn path, and that will make all the difference.

From second story ( About love and loss ) ---Sometimes life's going to hit you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love, and that is as true for work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking, and don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it, and like any great relationship it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking. Don't settle.

From third story ( About death ) --- When I was 17 I read a quote that went something like "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself, "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "no" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something. Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important thing I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life, because almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

No one wants to die, even people who want to go to Heaven don't want to die to get there, and yet, death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life. It's life's change agent; it clears out the old to make way for the new. right now, the new is you. But someday, not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it's quite true. Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice, heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Ladakh.... From Spring to Summer.....

.............LADAKH……….
(From spring to summer)

Winter is gone so is the cold cold!!
Spring has come and summer is almost near
Bringing the joy of the new,
New of fresh green leaves from old dried trees
New of air we breathe
New of people from every part of world
New of those small endeavour
(Which may seem small or even of no value if we compare it with the rocket scienceJ)

The mountains covered with white snow is melting, day in and day out
Changing its skin from snow white to wet grey
Giving the fresh and cold streams (dancing on its curves)
Flowing in Its own way and style
Flowing own her own until it merges with the great Indus river

People in village are once again on the field
From the dead slumber of cold winter
Into new sunshine of spring cum summer
For their new crop season (Wheat, Barley and for some peas)
For their winter stock in advance

Ladakh cold and dry yet beautiful in its own way
Ladakh barren and quiet yet exuding all over with harmony
Ladakh mesmerizing the tourist from all over the world
Ladakh at 11,000 feet touching crystal blue sky
Ladakh in peace and happiness !!!

ladakh buddhist vihar A hope and a crisis

This circular is what I saw and still seeing in our so called ladakh buddhist-vihar since I was in school back 10-11 years .Well irony is only about 50% of land actually belongs to ladakh and rest to Tibetan or personal , still we call it ladakh Buddhist vihar because long back about half century ago we fortunately inherited this small piece of land in our national capital. People who mostly from middle class and below middle class using this place ever since .This place since 1962 then become a hub for a people in need .
Need of shelter for people who come to Delhi for their medical(some serious)check up.
Need of shelter for our old people who hail from ladakh specially in winter to get relief from the extreme weather that their body can no more sustain.
Need of shelter for our grand parents who hail from ladakh to visit the holy places before they retire from their life.
Need of parents while coming Delhi for their children admission in schools and colleges.
Need of shelter for parents coming to meet their children during vacations.
Need of shelter during emergency.
With so much expectations our people come to Delhi spending a lot of money having no idea about the huge nagging for the room here .More and more people are coming and since they can't afford some hotel they have to stay in hall just right to the gompa , to my disgust some are even staying on veranda just outside the room paying 10 /day in this cold Delhi winter !! Since theirs no transparency at reception I guess theirs something fishy going in that too. Due to which many lay people face difficulty in getting room. My argument is regarding 2 things.
1) Structural
2) Maintenance and Sanitation.
As per Structural point of view our ladakh buddhist vihar was built about half century ago when our whole population was half of our current demographic status and we still having that same old building of which even the working life is over . That can fail anytime according to engineering facts, but we are living in because we have no choice .When we see around the Gompa we'll notice buildings which are taller and built based on current living standards with proper sanitation. And in between our place look like an old kila .We are in very desperate need of capacity with proper design so that we can not only afford our current demand but also taking in
mind the future prospects. I don't have any idea who's in authority for all this matter all I want is just to present my concern and to give a little spark to this issue or problem or this mess .Its very painful to see our gan-gon crawling in that hall and on veranda outside room in this cold winter also with the cold wind coming from Yamuna. I see not much difference between them and people living below flyovers .Its very painful to see our old people coughing in that old hall with the feeling of helplessness in their heart .After so much expectation while coming to Delhi for the first time and may be last time for some, they get this old hall and Veranda. We require better rooms and we can have one if we all just push our system to renovate this old building into new and larger one. At the moment i don’t know which door I have to knock but atfirst we just need to have a little awareness of the demand and need . I know some have their own home in Delhi and they don’t have to take any toil about it but I think every single ladakhi has used this place at some
point of time , I think every ladakhi has used this place when they had nothing in Delhi and I think every one of them have atleast one of their relatives using this place. This place which become a small ladakh in winter where we celebrate our LOSAR ,this place which itself is history with lots of our sweet memory, where many Losar we celebrated here, many changes we made in our way of celebration, Many VIPs came and went, Many students from Delhi and all over India made their fortunes living in one of these room , many have even built empires using this room for their business trip, many have bought one of latest cars using this place. But still this place is same as it is since we inherited from H.H Kushok BAKULA Rinpoche.I wonder where we would be staying if we had not this place in first place .I wonder where in Delhi we can think of staying at an affordable expense if we hadn't this place .Every student has used this place when they came here to start their career.
As per maintenance & sanitation its awful , first thing that will shock is toilet which is common for both man and women and which is always blocked and stinky( toilet and common !! ).God knows where those whole money that come from tariffs go , may be it gets deposited since 1962 for future renovation or may be in someone's pocket god knows , because since it was built its just same with same old fan , the same old bed , the same old bathroom ,the same old room and the same old bulb !! .Ofcourse there was some renovation in it , I remember but it was not enough at all. It was just like refilling the same old pen which is no more in use ,what I think should is to change the whole pen. I just been to Dramsala ,Tso-pema and Dehradun with my Aneyley and we stayed in some Gompa just like ours but I didn't see people living in hall and outside veranda instead there was room with attach bathroom and television in it at an affordable tariff. Seems everyone is aware of change and the need but I guess we are too busy into building new hotels and guest house, buying new cars, buses and filling our pocket.
What I expect is ladakh buddhist vihar with enough capacity with rooms single and double with attach bathroom and without,
what I expect is facility of e-booking of room so that we can book our rooms even while we are in ladakh ,
what I expect is transparency of booking on first come first serve basis ,
what I expect is clean and separate toilet ,
what I expect is availability of our own mess with our own cuisine ,
what I expect is common room where people can have atleast some fun .
Well actually we ladakhi are far ahead of our counterpart like Spiti , Kailang, Kargil etc though we have same source of earning but somehow we didn't notice this problem yet. Before I stop writing I must conclude that my circular or article whatever suits you is partial and also unbalanced, I believe I haven't done my homework well and I am sorry for that. And I am equally guilty of every charge I made above. May this can hurt someone's sentiments .But what I have written above is mere fact . I know everyone is aware of these drawbacks but the way we see generally on these drawbacks is not as a whole. Its my endeavor to put all our drawbacks in one so that we can easily focus on our priorities , It is my endeavor to spread this problem to our high authorities who can make this change happen. It is my part of endeavor the most any student can at the moment.
*Whoever is reading this circular please try to forward it to your neighbors after you are done with it, will be very oblige to you all.

P.S : In someway we are at cutting edge building 5 or 7 star hotel or buying latest car or new house or we are becoming hot tourist spot in world , but we are still lacking the leader , the visionary ,the selfless, the philanthropist and his holiness like Kushok Bakula Rinpoche, because of whom many like me can read and write today.
