Sir,
This refers to few of letters in your letters to editor section where I found one of the most cruel joke on civil society members(in a way to the whole nation ) calling burning of Jokepal was a national loss and referring to their protest as non-violent and crass behavior. First of all I can't still able to comprehend how on earth you can publish such a pessimistic and petty issue by group of few people.
When entire nation is giving their hands for this cause you portray the pessimistic notion of whole issue. I understand that being a prominent newspaper of our nation you should show both the aspects but if majority is supporting this cause and the cause itself is worth it than I see no point in publishing the hopeless call.
While reading those few letters I was wondering what probably are they doing in their cocoon for this nationwide movement against this serious disease of corruption. It was much like commenting on a cricket match when you hardly know how to hold a bat!!
These people who are fighting against corruption are on the field and those people who are trying to be a more radical and logical don't have any idea how hard it is to fight for such a cause leaving everything behind them, their family their job everything!!! And at the end if you publish such a pessimistic letter thinking they have some serious point to make then I doubt you alignment towards govt. Jokepal bill, I doubt your media ethics I am sorry but it’s what I feel. They compare Anna Hazare's movement with Gandhi's movement and look for a flaw in it. And when someone send a letter to your newspaper saying what Gandhi did and what Anna should you publish the other day itself.(To them I have one more good news Gandhi was wearing dhoti and sandals while his struggle and Anna is not , don’t forget to mention it in next letter to your editor)
Let me tell you what you publish each day has a huge impact on the whole nation and I feel you should consider consciously before publishing it. I really feel sorry for this country having such people who just do nothing but talk.
While they are yelling loudly about the corruption in India every single day when you wake up from your soothing bed but you see nothing but burning paper and their flaw.
While they are talking about loss of HUGE!! National income (2G, KG scam etc where we can't even pronounce the figure of money in it) you see loss of burning few paper how pessimistic one could be.
Some even say Anna derailed from Gandhi's ideology (That was 1947 and it’s 2011!!) well to them I say to hell with any ideology when if we could be a country free of corruption Even to this point!! Some pseudo intellectuals said "Rome is not built in a day" well to them I say neither by just commenting on Hindu with some impeccable constitutional word of which a lay man hard to comprehend.
And to the people all over nation please!!!! Just before commenting look what you are doing to fight against this serious disease CORRUPTION and if you are not then at least refrain from commenting nonsense!!
Atlast my only request to "The Hindu" the most transparent print media in our country i feel, to please give a conscious thought while publishing any personal letter.
Thank you
And sorry for being outraged !!
The whole nation is on fire and you are talking about burning few pages of Govt.Jokepal bill !!!!
Good joke !!
