THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION ... sme Scribbles

THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION

Nobel prize winner ‘Nelson Mandela’ once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which can change the world” sure there is something to appreciate about education that’s why we spend most of the crucial time of our life in school.
TO BECOME EDUCATED!
Dear students,
As we step our foot for the first time in school we all come here to become formally educated. The things we learn, whether it is ABC or 123 or even a drawing class these are all the foundations that help us become educated in worldly sense, which help us face and understand the world.
Dear students,
I should tell you all the distinction between an ‘Educated’ and a ‘Literate’. One is called Literate according to our constitution if someone can read and write any language of our country, and one is called Educated:
If one knows his or her fundamental rights,
If one knows his/her duty towards his/her family, society and country.
If one have a moral and social responsibility,
If one knows his/her responsibility towards our environment.
And the lists are endless.
Dear students so there are some big difference between being a ‘Literate’ and an ‘Educated’ one.

When you all step into this beautiful school “Siddhartha” you all must know that you come here to become Educated.
In-fact active and responsible citizens of this global world.

It was the very seed of education that helped India free from 200 yrs of British rule,
It was the seed of education that helped draft the lengthiest Constitution of a country by a Dalit boy Dr. B.R Ambedkar who is now famously known as “The father of Indian Constitution”
It was the seed of education that helped Africa free from dirty discrimination of Apartheid,
It was the seed of education, that Ladakh had an honest Engineer like ‘Sonam Norboo’ who made such a big contribution for Ladakh.

Truly pen is mightier than a sword, if we are educated in real sense.

Education is the thing that dispels our Ignorance and opens our eyes to the world; Education is the only resort on which we can climb to any heights.

It was only due to education, that made poor kid from small village of Tamil Nadu could become the biggest scientist this country have ever produced yes DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Azad.

Such is the importance of education that His Holiness Bakula Rinpoche himself walked in every nook and corner of Ladakh to create awareness on ‘Importance of Education’
Such is the importance of education that Indian Govt. Spends 68,728 crore per year just on education.
Such is the importance of education that Indian Govt. has made education compulsory for every child between age 6 to 14 under RIGHT TO EDUCATION Act.

“While educating the minds of our youth, we must not forget to educate their hearts”
